Never build a business solely on antisocial media. So many people do these days and then when they change a few things many peoples businesses can be plunged into turmoil.
I built a business once that was going amazing and dependent solely on one courier company that was the only one that delivered mattresses across the UK, then they had a policy change and they just stopped delivering parcels of that size. That business went belly up overnight.
Remember guys there was businesses long before antisocial media. There is a demand out there for down to earth independent businesses.
Alan Sugars first business was boiling beetroots and selling them at the market.
Ingvar kamprad, owner of Ikea. His first business was selling matches around the doors.
My first business was a mobile pound shop when I was about 18. Every day I knocked on doors with the likes of door mats and washing powder in my hand asking people if they wanted any.
Still today I am a walking sales man. Either for my mattresses or for nature. If I'm not tyring to sell you a mattress I'm telling you to plant trees.
We live in a world these days with little self belief. So many plead poverty and poor me. Or casting judgement onto others. I see a highly motivated local entrepreneur on social media that takes so much abuse because he's been bankrupt a few times. People saying why should anyone listen to him.
Alan Sugar said once that 80% of his business ideas were a flop. The 20% that succeeded made him £600 million!
I was born into a world of wheeler dealers. I watched so many people go from rags to riches. The guy that owns HoneyB where I get my mattresses from which is now one of he biggest mattress companies in the country, he used to wash my dads car for a couple of pounds. From he was a teenager he followed my dad about learning from him. He always said from he was about 14 that he will be rich one day and have a big house on the most exclusive road in Belfast. He has all this and more!
The only thing holding you back is yourself. Dont be limited by your own thoughts. Get out there and take your chances.
Stop looking at people with jealousy. Look at them to learn.
And don't forget all you entrepreneurs out there. Buy up land, plant native forests and one day you'll get paid for carbon catchment. Its coming. You'll also feel amazing knowing you've planted something that will be here long after you've gone.
Keep it symbiotic. You know it makes sense.
I challenge you to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter and Wee betty
