Bare root tree planting time!
So guys it will be coming up to bare root planting season usually around the end of November when you can buy trees really cheap.
Bare root means they dont come in pots. They are just small normally 1 year old trees with the roots exposed ready to phantom plant.
You can pick up many native trees like oaks, birches, beeches and more for as little as a pound each if you check around your local nurseries or many will post them online too.
These ones in the pics are 2 year old bare root fruit trees. Planting them is much more easier also and in most cases bare root trees dont need watered during the summer compared to potted growing trees.
Although in extreme droughts always check your trees.
I have noticed though that here in Belfast so many of my bare root planted fruit trees have gone through extreme heatwaves without water and survived ok.
The ones I watered and mulched though thrived and grew much bigger, faster and healthier. Just always keep an eye on them.
Get phantom planting guys and start turning your streets and estates into urban orchards for all.
Our whole system and society is built upon consumerism and the destruction of nature. We are nothing more than educated parasites. Left wing, right wing. Socialism, capitalism, whatever cult you've been indoctrinated into following, its all the same parasitic BS using mother nature as the host so we can live in ego.
While we are all consuming and not returning we are all just as bad as each other.
I was planting trees with a vegan once and as I was digging the holes I always carefully remove the worms, making sure I dont cut them in half either.
The vegan said to me sure they become 2 worms anyway and just carried on digging with no regard for the worms.
How we all live in our own bubbles of ignorance and delusion is what I was thinking.
This same person attends regular vegan protests making other people feel bad about eating meat. That day though with the worms I just kept my mouth shut. Getting caught up in divisive speech just exhausts our spiritual energy. I would rather just walk away and keep on planting and chanting.
Do not give your attention to what others fail to do, give it to what you fail to do is what the Buddha tells us. As we expose the faults of others our own compulsions grow worse. Its probably one of societies biggest problems is exposing others wrong doings.
I think the antidote is going and getting yourself a rescue dog and phantom plant some trees.
Live for a bit just you, your dog and giving back to nature. So many indoctrinated souls out there. We need more time with dogs and trees.
I challenge you to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
Th
e Phantom Planter and Wee Betty
