What a Beauty of a Tree!

Out for a walk the other day and came across this stunning apple tree that me and a friend phantom planted back in 2016 in memory of her partner who lost his life so tragically....

Its a beauty of a tree, back then when we phantom planted this I was still a novice and hadn't a clue really what I was doing, 7 years later not much has changed in the way of planting a tree, dig a hole and just make sure its the right way up and go back and water for the first year every 10 days or so during the hot months.

I have never pruned this, never fed it, never went back to weed around it, just wild phantom planted and went back and watered for the first year and look at it!


Great feeling when your phantom planted trees just pop out at you on your forest walks!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
