Fairy thorn trees!

Has anyone been noticing the hawthorn flowers aka fairy thorn flowers on our landscapes right now, It's glowing all over the place, makes you realise how many hawthorn trees there are out there!

The pic is from the Fairy tree in Sandy Row Belfast which sadly is not there anymore, it was badly diseased when I took this pic about a year ago, but it was said that the Sandy Row housing estate was built around this fairy tree that no one wanted to cut down!

I had a shop at the end of the street here and run around in this area up to all sorts for years from childhood and never knew it was there!

Love all the stories you hear about fairy thorns and I'd believe alot of them, I've had my fair share of magical experiences connecting to nature, we all need to start respecting it more.

They say the Tuatha Dé Danann who were a tribe of gods that lived in the Emerald Isle once retreated into the hawthorn trees when Christianity came to become what we know of today as the fairy people.

Dont you often wonder why this island was the most Christian controlled place on earth, they made such a big deal of here mixing up and dividing, most of the Irish are catholic and many have ill feelings towards the English but it was the pope that ordered England to invade Ireland in the 1100s then when King Billy came again he was blessed by the pope before he invaded again, you couldnt make the whole thing up, someone is having a laugh!!!

I believe its to stop us connecting to our ancient past, this land of Saints and Scholars, a place of magic and mystery, some of the oldest tombs and monuments are right here on the Emerald Isle, we had our own ogham writing system, one of the oldest alphabets, we had a nature based law system way before anywhere else in the world and our connection to nature was the most important thing!

Most of us have forgotten who we really are believing in a manufactured divide and conquer culture.

When I see the fairy trees glow this year like never before its like the Tuatha are rising again coming to help sort this crazy destructive world we have created.
