 Happy Summer Solstice Everyone!!


Today is the longest day of the year and after today the sun begins to move south again and the days will start to get slowly darker for the next 6 months.


Isn't it amazing whats happening out there in the solar system and beyond, when you take a minute and think about it, it's quite mind blowing!


This is probably my favourite time of the year, I'm a Leo, a sun sign, I love to be out in the sun, the bright mornings and bright nights, its an amazing time of year!


I'm up from 4.30am these days,  I'm always up at 5am anyway but around this time of year I get up that little bit earlier!


I remember reading this article before and it said the people who get what they want in life get up at 5am, I've always got up at 5am even when I was an alcoholic and drug addict, I was a functional one, always made sure I got to bed early, more money can be made during daylight hours, more people around so that meant more potential pounds!


Thats how I seen things, my whole life revolved around monetary success and something I've always observed also is nearly all the most successful business people I knew got up early and were very rarely late for meetings. 


Even my delboy dad, if he was meeting someone he would always be early,

As Sun Tzu says in the Art of War: Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight; whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted.


I was always the one when I was a child waking everyone up at 9am on a Sunday, throwing stones at their windows to get them up!


I could never get my head around why people sat up late watching TV and movies and sleeping in in the mornings, I dont even have a TV now, never did watch it or movies, I'm living my movie, not going to sit and watch others live theirs through a box in a dark room!


Its a all one big sales box to me,, guess that's how I looked at it as all my life was wheeling and dealing, we dont realise what its making us buy, we should be paid to have TVs. 


I do find it quite depressing at times when there is whole world out there to explore! Thats just how I seen things anyway, horses for courses though and we are all wired different!


Anyhow guys its a great day to phantom plant a tree to mark the Solstice, pic is from me planting a pear tree with Tibetan Lama around 5 years ago at a summer solstice party at Jampa Ling Buddhist Temple, the tree is still going strong!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
