Keep your trees watered!

Dont be forgetting to water your newly phantom planted trees in this heat guys, especially potted fruit trees as they will be needing watered every week or so.

If you phantom planted bare root they wont be needing as much TLC but do go back and check on them anyway and give them a couple of litres of water every 10 days - 2 weeks.

I only do this for first year planted trees, my motto is if a tree needs molly cuddled after the first year then its not meant to be there, its just the wrong type of fruit tree choice for the area.

And remember you can plant well rooted potted fruit trees anytime of year, get yourself a spade and get phantom planting some apple trees, check around your local nurseries as thats what i do this time of year, I look for the best pot bound trees, meaning the tree pulls out of the pot with all soil intact and not all of the roots and soil falling apart.

You want to minimise transplant shock as much as possible when the tree is in the growing stages at this time of year.

Many of the supermarket fruit trees I've seen now are first year planted meaning they are not that good for planting out, they will need to stay in the pot for another year, head round your local garden centres and find yourself some nice pot bound fruit trees and become a phantom planter today, keeping it local is always better anyway and even better paying small businesses old fashioned cash....

Thats what I tell all the customers in my business, I'm a traditional business man I say, old fashioned cash only please!

With every negative situation there is an equal or even greater positive, what ever measures they try and force upon us opens up endless new avenues of positive possibilities, the magical flow of life can never be controlled, the more they try the more they are secretly loosing their grip.
