Pitcher plants !

 Was in the Botanical gardens yesterday and a couple of the workers there were giving talks on trees, I got talking to them and one was like how do you know so much about trees? "I said I'm the commander of the paramili-trees", the look on their faces was priceless!

I said we are a renegade tree planting organisation with Leaftenants and Twigadiers worldwide that plant trees as and where we want!

Had great chat with them both, one was on his first day, big gentleman he was, we were just talking about how our communities are riddled with addictions and problems and really its up to us to do something about this and lead by example!

We cant leave it up to our leaders to sort this, they are riddled with all sorts of addictions and desires also, probably worse than the rest of us!

In the hot house there they had pitcher plants growing as in the pic, these are a carnivorous plant that eats insects, I read about this plant before in a book to stop drinking alcohol and he says in the book what happens with this plant is the fly flies inside to get the nectar and thinks this is great, it sits there feasting on the nectar but at the same time its slowly sliding down the plant, when it gets to the bottom it tries to fly away but its stuck and the plant has it for dinner!

The same when we drink alcohol he says, we are stuck in the pitcher plant, thinking we are getting the nectar with no real bad effects, but when we remain a moderational drinker there is always a wedding, a birthday, xmas parties and so on, then we have that extra bit more nectar and go over board and do something daft that there is no turning back from!

This was the one story in that book I could really relate too, how many people do you know who has ruined there life over a weekend bender? I know many and have done lots of stupid things myself!

Drink is the ruination of everything and its glorified in our society which makes me sick at times!

Dont let that pitcher plant get you, stay away from the booze, pure poison, life is way better level headed and I've way more money and better mental clarity!
