Up the Treevolution!

 Here is an estate I always had a few problems with phantom planting, I phantom planted around seven apple trees here about 3 years ago to start with then builders came along and started digging out tracks laying cables next to the trees killing a few of them.


I replaced them and then the grass cutter hit a couple of them and killing some more, then I replaced them and some kids had broken what I thought was all of them, kept going back trying to mend them but they just kept getting destroyed.


I gave up on here and left and then someone told me recently that two of the trees are still standing, so yesterday I took a drive by and couldn't believe it, there they were growing strong the whole time and I thought they were all gone!


Back then at the start of the phantom planter I was going around different estates taking my chances phantom planting, it didnt matter to me if the trees didnt survive, I had just escaped my drink and drug addictions and I was using all the money I used to spend on drink and drugs to buy trees to start my phantom planting Treevolution!


Every tree I bought was the price of a line of peas and barley or a few drinks, I never lost any sleep over spending my money on soul poisons, I'm not going to loose any sleep over some trees not making it was my attitude!


For years I spent a fortune on drink and drugs and for years I'll keep spending this money on phantom planting fruit trees and see where this goes and I really didnt mind giving up my own time also planting and looking after the trees, it takes up a lot of your time and energy drinking in the bars snorting and popping pills so I had a lot of extra time on my hands too, phantom planting just filled that void for me!


I think the whole phantom planting trees took my mind away somewhere else, I never once had an urge to go back to my old ways, it kept me focused and give me a life purpose, I healed through phantom planting....


I've realised something that I heard a long time ago thats so true,


"It's not what life can give you, its what you can give life"...


Our whole way of the world is about what we can get, how we can lavish and pleasure ourselves, I lived a very lavished selfish lifestyle for most of my life, it disconnected me someway, it made me feel soulless. 

Looking back now I know exactly what it was doing, the magic of the Dharma will never play with you if your all about taking from it and not giving back.

From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
