No Surrender!

 One of the pics is me phantom planting a weeping willow tree 3 years ago and the other pic is from about a year later when a massive fire scorched the whole mountain range!


I had hundreds of trees destroyed due to the fire, trees I had to carry up a mountain and go back and look after them too in watering them during hot times and after the fire destroyed them I was absolutely gutted.


I knew I was going to take hits with loosing trees when I first started phantom planting but when I lost all these in one go it was very disheartening!


I had a dream to make this part of the mountain a piece of environmental graffiti that could be seen from all around the country but looking back now I got burned off Narnia for a good reason!


I was not meant to be running around up there all the time like a hermit phantom planting trees, I spent so much of my energy going up there when the real place I needed to be was in the communities phantom planting fruit trees, taking people out planting memorial trees, getting kids out phantom planting, recruiting paramili-trees and creating urban orchards that feed and inspire!


One of my best supporters Lily from up the Shankill Road in Belfast sent me a message saying dont you worry about loosing all them trees the Phoenix Bird will Rise from the ashes again!


I'd never heard that quote before but it really helped me, the phoenix bird did rise in me and flew back to Belfast and started phantom planting all around my local areas with fruit trees, leaving the scorched mountain behind.


Thank you Lily, your the best, the juniper trees you gave me are flying btw. 


Sometimes it takes great destruction to create new and beautiful things, I never expected in a million years that a fire so big, probably the biggest ever in the area to roar through Narnia killing all my trees!


I gotta a new dream now and its to fill up every street in Belvoir estate Belfast and beyond with native heritage apple trees and just recently I have found out there is a native apple tree called "No Surremder"....


I'm getting one for the estate, no matter what happens the paramili-trees will never surrender!!!

From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
