We are all Rascals at heart!

 Don't know what felt better, scrumping of someone else's orchard or picking your own from an illegally phantom planted apple tree growing nicely by the road side for the past 8 years or so in the heart of Belfast!


I was always a rascal, living by the book ain't my thing, phantom planting trees without permission keeps that rascal in me happy, environmental graffiti I like to think of it as, otherwise I could be doing a lot worse!


They say an addict is always an addict, there's probably some sense in that, I've channeled my addictive personality into practicing more positive things like looking after me and planting trees, we just need to channel these addictive traits in a more beneficial way!


How our world would change if we all became a bit more wisely selfish rather than foolishly selfish as Big D says!


Going back and picking the apples of a phantom planted tree is the best buzz ever, me and my son planted this tree together, every year we've went back and ate apples from it, Unreal - And we will continue to do so for the rest of our lives!


We didn't take all the apples, like to leave some for nature, keep it symbiotic, you know it makes sense!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
