Save the Darwin Oak!

These are pics sent to me from a Paramili-Tree A-Corn Team member of the Darwin oak, a 550 year old tree that activists have been trying to save from the chop in Shrewsbury.

It does have acorns on it this year and our paramili-tree member will be going back to collect them in the coming weeks when they are a bit bigger and post them to me for the oak grove museum of ancient and iconic trees!

Maybe this post will help generate more interest in the tree preventing it getting cut down, so sad though that they cut down trees of this age!

This would be an anazing tree for people to get acorns from to grow up for phantom planting, just incase anything was to happen to this ancient oak.

Would there be anyone near Essex who could go and check out the Old Knobbley Oak tree to see if it has acorns plesse, seen pics of this and it looks a very unique old tree.

Im still blown away at the response to all this, every tree I've put a request out to be checked and collected from have been done!

My Big Glaswegian pal whos with me now camping around Ireland when he was younger was big into church, he was even going to be a pastor one day but got a bit sidetracked and ended up a bit of a dody dude which is how I know him from dodgy deals of the past.

But he is always telling me stories from the bible and he was telling me about the Parable of the Talents, It was very interesting and I started to read into it more, the meaning behind it is God rewards those who work for the better of the community..

With what all you guys have been out there doing for me in checking all the old oak trees I'd say is a reward for me, this is my passion to get all these acorns and what you guys have done for me means the world to me.

Cant thank you all enough!
