More trees phantom planted!

 A while back we were running a prize draw and the winner got to come and phantom plant trees with me for the day. 


The winner was Dympna Mcnamee and she came along yesterday and we phantom planted a tree in our orchard in memory of her dad. 


She then give me a hand phantom planting 3 more apple trees in another orchard we have just a short walk away. 


One tree at a time over the past 5 years we have been filling up green spaces everywhere all over the estate, yesterday we added another 4 Laxton Superb apple trees and today I have 4 James Grieves apple trees to phantom plant. 


Both these varieties grow amazing in our climate. 


Its amazing whats been created here with well over 500 fruit trees phantom planted for the community and nature to enjoy and future generations for the next 100 years or so as thats how long most apple trees will live for!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
