4 years on!

 Here is the same phantom planted apple tree 4 years on and if you look closely in the second pic there has been over 300 more fruit trees phantom planted in the background. 


5 years ago I gave up alcohol and started to spend the money I was saving on poisoning myself and buy fruit trees to phantom plant! 


I've now got an orchard thats helping feed the community and nature with using the time and money I used to spend in the bar and phantom plant trees. 


Many people always said to me back at the start that my trees would get ripped out, mowed over and vandalized and it would never work!


The way I looked at it was I was spending at the height  of my addictions hundreds of pounds a week on booze and cocaine with nothing to show for it, if I loose a few trees I can always plant more and its keeping me fit and connecting me to nature. 


Phantom planting trees has been a life saver for me!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
