Part of my life plan and ambition for in and around the Belvoir estate in Belfast - Home of the Phantom Planter HQ, Is to make it available that everyone is able to pick fresh organic seasonal food for 6 months of the year right on their doorsteps!


Its what people in working class areas need for their health, physically and mentally, we have no idea whats going into our foods these days in this profit driven world!


I had a manufacturing business before and you have no idea how easy it is to pull the wool over the eyes of the inspectors, for a start they give you a courtesy call to say they are coming!!


What a heads up!! 


I had my workers hiding things everywhere, I've made some dodgy stuff in the past and put it out there into the world, things I really regret to be honest, hence why now I'm on the Buddha path planting trees trying to purify my negative karma!


We have no idea what food producers are doing behind the scenes with all this ultra processed foods these days, if I could get away with it, what do you thing they are getting aqay with! 


We need to start growing our own foods and getting as much seasonal organic stuff in our bodies as possible, me personally I think we are in for a whole host of new types of illnesses and diseases in the future, we are eating way too much man made profit driven foods, it doesn't make sense! 


But I've been learning and observing what I've been planting and eating and its a reality that people can pick fresh fruit or berries and types of nuts for 6 months of the year minimum!


You've got early cherries, salmon berries and other types of berries and very late apples as well as the medlars, these little tasty beauties grow so well here in Belfast and they are edible straight from the tree up into early December!


Over the years for the rest of my life I'm going to keep filling the estate up with all fruit trees for everyone to enjoy, make it known through on here and word of mouth when its ripe and ready and ideas on what to do!


This is my contribution to the community and mother nature....


Imagine we all had some positive contribution we did for the greater good, what would our world be like!!


Turning the hood into a nature loving Buddhahood one tree at a time!

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! From Spain to Belfast Phantom Planting!

  Phantom planted another apple tree yesterday with my big glaswegian pal who is over visiting! He couldn't believe the size of the orchard now! Last time we planted a tree was years ago in Spain, 2 plum trees we phantom planted out there, sadly they didn't survive but we had great fun doing it in the lashing rain right outside the Buddhist Stupa as you can see in one of the pics, an offering to the Buddha was my intention! I was at the worst of my addictions back then, used to visit this Stupa a lot for spiritual guidance, really found myself out there, spent a lot of time in Spain soul searching, taking advantage of the cheap winter flights and free stay! I had my last ever pint at the airport after praying at this Stupa, the Buddha responded to my offering I believe! Pretty magical really, faith in a higher power guys, that did it for me, there's more to all this life, more to all this all this world! "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"..
