Some memories from 8 years ago!

 These are some pics I came across from 8 years when I just started to set up a new mattress business.

Before this I had a mattress manufacturing company and I was making a fortune. But I was cutting corners big time and not before long I had the trading standards all over me, my plant got closed down and I got a criminal record for deception.

I deserved it though, some of the ways I made money in the past was just pure immoral and wrong.

Money made that way though is only on loan, and while its on loan its unlucky money and it will poison and pollute you.

Anyhow I lost everything, houses, cars, businesses and even my family. I was left with not a pot to piss in as they say. Ripening negative karma that I created was manifesting in my life daily!

Back then though I had just discovered Buddhism and with the help of a few good friends I decided to source good quality mattresses and start up trying to sell them to get myself a living.

My good Albanian mate run a car wash in South Belfast and I asked him could I drop a container there and sell mattresses from.

He was more than happy to help me with this and I helped him wash the cars also, only most of the time I was wiped out on drink and drugs but we had some laughs.

Strange things happened to me down at this car wash, I was beginning to awake, my thoughts and outlook were changing and I made this strange connection to a tree down there. I often said to my Albanian mate that that tree is talking to me while I was pissed. 

He laughed so hard thinking I was mad, but there was this tree down there that I had a weird connection too.

I also never shut up about the Buddha back then as I had only just discovered it and it brought great excitement and zest into my life when I was in such a low place. 

Even back then I used to say to my mate there that one day I'm going to setup a mattress business called Buddha Beds, he thought this was a brilliant idea. Funny all this time later it has manifested.

I remember back then I was seeing karma for real, I told myself I'm living morally from now on, no more hoodwinking customers, no more deception, no more dealing in dodgy goods.

I remember one of my dads dodgy mates came down with a van load of mattresses that fell of the back of a lorry trying to sell them to me.

Normally I would have snapped them up but I said I cant take them, I don't want the negative karma man.

Word got back to my delboy dad that I didn't want them and my dad called me up and said "them Boodoos have you possessed son turning away a good deal like that! 

He always said that, think he thought Buddhism was Voodoo or something! 

Back then though I was on a mission to change everything in my life, we only think we are getting one over on others, really we are getting one over on ourselves.

Its been a long process for me, years it took trying to bring balance back into my life. When more darkness arrived I tried my best to take it on the chin and accept it as my own doing, as my own karma, but still trying to live right and moral, still keep trying to put out them positive ripples.

We purify ourselves guys, the Buddhas only point to the way. All effort must be made by us... 

Now today I've got www.buddhabeds.co.uk and my mattresses are value for money luxury and my customer service and aftersales is top priority to me. I've had enough wolves at my door to last me a lifetime.
