Hallmarking my work!

I've been kept busy these past few days stamping up tags for the trees at our new community orchard we are setting up next month.

Around 300 native Irish apple trees will be getting planted up here at this new site just outside South Belfast for everyone to enjoy.

Its been an amazing fountain of knowledge this project has been for me. To create and be involved in all stages of this, from seeking out old native variety apple trees all over Ireland to get cuttings from, then grafting them onto new rootstocks, caring for them for nearly a year and now the trees are ready for planting this last bit stamping these tags is like hallmarking my work.

And once I get these trees planted I'm going to watch them grow and provide for community and nature for the rest of my life.

It's been one of the most rewarding and wholesome activities I've ever did!

Read this quote the other day from Thich Nhat Hanh who was a very famous Buddhist monk.

He said that the next Buddha will not take the form of a person but rather take the shape of a community. Buddhism is one of the few faiths out there that really understands and respects nature and our connection to it. That everything is interconnected and interdependent. What we do to nature we do to ourselves and in helping nature we are helping ourselves also.

Nature and the community needs you more so now than ever. If part of your spiritual or religious journey is not helping nature or community it may be time to question your beliefs.

The world needs prayers in action.

I challenge you all to Phantom

Plant a fruit tree today in your local community.

Peace and Love...
