Staying zen!

Me and wee betty worked away for most the day yesterday at the polytunnel grafting up apple trees.

So nice being out in the country this time of year listening to the birds.

Love it in the polytunnel when its cold and the sun is out, its like stepping into the tropics.

I gotta call while I was grafting about a banking issue and I had to stop the lady on her tracks, I said to her I cant talk about that world right now, I'm in my Zen space doing my work for mother nature. We'll have to talk about this another time I said.

We'll I'm very sorry for disturbing your Zen space,  you call us back anytime she said. We all need to do our bit for nature I said and then goodbye.

Thats the delusion of the illusion in life right there. From I've started to have to register and make the Phantom Planter legit and above board I've had to deal with this kind of stuff again.

For the past 7 years or so I have been in this cabin living a life of penance. It was my girlfriend said this. I guess shes right though.

I have been living very much in austerity for the past 7 years and loving it too. Its great to live like this though, and not fall foul to the traps of the monopoly board. All its glitz and glamour - Toys and tinsel, drink and drugs, it's all sold to us by cunning sales people!

I became why too accustomed to these luxuries in the past only to have lost it all.

Now theres nothing can be taken from me if I throw a wrong dice on the monopoly board. With what Buddhism has brought to my mind even if they through me in jail I would look at that as the perfect opportunity to attain enlightenment. You really are living on alms in there!

I'm lucky if I get warm water at times here in my wee cabin and have to sleep with loads of layers on as there is holes all over my rotted cabin. I even sleep with gloves on at times for I wake up with my hands so stiff and sore I was thinking the damp was setting in.

New cabin hopefully coming at the end of the month though so things are looking good. I'll not know myself!

Back to getting caught in the system again, I can really see how it can take you away and steal your inner Zen. So many mundane and headmelt situations you find yourself in, conforming to so much rules and regulations. Seems to me like its perfectly designed to keep us entangled masking the fact the Buddha light lies within us all. Its a real test to presence yourself in certain situations.

Buddhism for me really is the most beautiful form of anarchy, its like giving the fingers to the system in a peaceful way.

Anyhow Its going to take lots of practice for me to try and keep my zen and conform to the rat race rules and regulations again. But I got this, I'm going to do my best to look at every stressful situation as an opportunity for personal growth. Get to the ignition switch of all our stresses and worries. Its all good practicing the antidotes but wouldnt it be great to not even have to use an antidote.

To not have to try and be patient in crazy situations, you are just a humble observer. Like you are completely still on the inside.

These days if I'm standing in a que I look at it as an opportunity to connect and respect with other people and tell them to plant trees and give back to nature too. Every situation in life can be serendipitous. It all depends how we look at it.

I'm off here to do my morning workout routine then back up to plant up more apple trees. 140 approx done so far with a further 860 to go.

By hook or crook I'll get them done!

Rise of the paramili-trees- UTPP up the phantom planters!
