A bit of my childrens book I'm writing one day.
The world is dying, the trees are being cut down, mother nature is suffocating and this is having an effect on the Tuatha De danann, the half god half human race of people who some may know them as the Fairy people.
This race of supernatural beings live in a place called Arbutai deep beneath the earth. Sometimes they come out to play and other times they come out to haunt people. Only people who are bad to nature do they haunt. They are among us all the time. Tormenting the bad and helping the good.
As the earth suffocates up here, so too is Arbutai. They know they must reach out and wake people up here on earth to plant trees and create more forests. Forests are the lifeline for the people of Arbutai and for us here on Earth.
King Oakomo, the ruler of Abutai sends to earth his most beautiful Goddesses. They're soul purpose is to select cunning wheeler dealer sales type people who they can infiltrate and convert them into loving nature. These are people who can sell sand to the Arabs, and if they can generate the same passion and enthusiasm for nature as they do for lining their own pockets, King Oakomo knows these cunning sales people could sell the love of nature to the world quicker than anything else.
One Goddess has her eyes on a man from Belfast. A man who was born into a world of the most cunning of wheeler dealers. There's not much this man hasnt sold from the underworld to the legitimate world. The Goddess could also see that this man deep down has a very compassionate way towards nature. He is just blinded by his own greed and upbringing. The Goddess feels this man will be worth trying to convert.
She makes her way into his life while he was drunk one night and right away there was a connection between them. They hit it off and the Goddess takes her time getting to know him and started to tell him of the many different types of spiritual practices that there are on Earth. This is all new to this rogue wheeler dealer and he finds it all so refreshing.
What happened was the Goddess was beginning to fall in love with this rogue underworld wheeler dealer and she didn't like it. She couldn't face being around him anymore and pleaded with King Oakomo that she couldnt go on like this and wanted back to Arbutai.
She has did what she could she said and wanted to go back home.
This rogue Belfast man wasnt so stupid, he could see things in her and knew something was up. The Goddess just vanished from The roques life without even saying goodbye.
Years went by and the Belfast Rogue dealer just went about his life but he never forgot about this Beautiful woman who came into his life and showed him all this magical and spiritual stuff.
Then one day this little dog called Betty came into the Rogues life. Betty used to live in Arbutai and was always a little rascal often living between the two worlds without King Oakomos permission.
Betty knew King Oakomo and the Goddess have been in contact with the rogue hence why betty made contact and came into the rogues life.
Betty knew what KIng Oakomo was trying to do and told the rogue of his plans. The rogue couldn't believe that his dog started talking to him.
So the rogue at the time still had no interest in nature, all he was thinking of was the beautiful Goddess that he missed so much that just vanished.
The rogue asked betty is there a way that I can get to Arbutai and betty said thats nearly impossible but there is a way.
You must plant all the trees of the Ogham tree alphabet in a ring around the coast of the Emerald Isle and once you've did that you must then find the secret Juniper tree of Narnia and eat one of the berries. Once you eat the berry the portal of Arbutai will be open.
So the rogue has no idea about trees, he is not even that fit to walk all these mountains and places that he needs too but with his drive and enthusiasm that he used to make all this poisonous money most of his life, he used this same drive to learn about trees. He sets off on his mission in learning about all the trees of the Ogham tree alphabet and goes round the Emerald Isle planting them all.
Then he spends months walking Narnia trying to find the secret Juniper tree. One day he finds it just him and betty and looks at betty and says. So this is it then I eat this and I'll get to see the Goddess again. Betty nods her head and says I do hope you come back. Why are you not coming? King oakomo doesnt like me much anymore, betty says. But if you do come back to earth I will be waiting on you she says.
The rogue eats the Juniper berry and the whole ground opens up and he falls into an abyss to land on top of a beautiful meadow surrounded by trees and all sorts of weird and wonderful beings.
KIng Oakomo is told of what is going on here and cant believe whats happened. The Goddess hears of this and she is in complete shock also.
How has this happened, How!! They are all saying. No one gets to come here from the earth world.
The Goddess is so glad to see the rogue and King Oakomo is so impressed with how he managed to get here. Once he heard betty had something to do with it. King Oakomo smiled. My wee betty he said, what a rascal she is.
King Oakomo knew he had what he needed. All he needed to do now was train the rogue up and send him back to earth and sell nature to the people.
Months went by teaching and training the rogue and his relationship with the beautiful Goddess was flourishing. But the Goddess knew that this couldnt last. King Oakomo had a job for the rogue and once he gets sent back to earth there is never no coming back to Arbutai.
Once the Rogues teaching and training was complete, he was ready to go back on Earth. King Oakomo made a big ritual of this and all gathered at the ancient yew tree of Arbutai. The Goddess knew what was going on here. KIng Oakomo was going to crown the rogue and make him eat one of the yew berries that will kill his spirit off in Arbutai and resurrect him back up on earth. Once anyone eats a yew berry there is no coming back. Never!
King Oakomo knew the rogue had fallen in love with the Goddess and was reluctant to tell him that once he eats the berry he will never be able to come back.
Once the rogue hears this he doesn't want to do it, he wants to stay in Arbutai.
All the people of Arbutai are in tears but they know that this rogue is the best chance they've got of getting trees planted up on earth and he must fulfill his mission for everyones sake.
King Oakomo crowns the rogue "The Phantom Planter" gives him his mask and says to him, now you must go and challenge the world to plant trees! Plant trees in a rogue way he says! You are our only hope King Oakomo says to him.
The Phantom Planter takes a yew berry and before he eats it he looks at the Goddess and says. Once I do what I'm meant to do up on earth, by hook or by crook I'll find a way back to Arbutai.
So The Phantom Planter comes back onto earth and catches up with wee betty once again. The two of them go all around the streets and estates wearing a mask planting trees without permission, making tree planting cool and rogue like. Years go by doing this and millions more begin to follow the phantom planter in planting trees.
Whole forests are appearing all over the earth as a result of the phantom planter and wee betty.
But as the years go by all the phantom planter is thinking of is getting back to Arbutai to see the Goddess.
Once The phantom planters mission is complete and the people of earth and Arbutai can breath again, all he's thinking of is how he is going to get back to Arbutai. How he asks betty, how do I get back again?
Wee betty says there is still one way left but it will take years and years and you'll probably be a very old man by then. What is that the phantom planter says.
Wee betty says you must collect acorns from 37 special ancient oaks trees from all over the UK and Ireland. And what are these special oaks? Wee betty tells him of the list.
Your mad to even think you can do this says wee betty. Whys that the phantom planters says.
For a start they dont all produce acorns every year and if you do manage to collect them all you then gotta plant them all in a ring and wait many more years on them flowering.
Then once they flower and cross pollinate the portal of Abutai will open once again.
Right betty thats it, this is getting done the phantom planter says.
And so for the rest of The phantom planters life he spends going around watching the 37 ancient oaks meditating under each one praying for them to give him acorns.
Will The Phantom Planter make it back to Arbutai? Only time will tell.
Guys hope you enjoyed that, this is just some brief writing from my childrens book I'm leaving behind one day along with my oak grove. I just wrote this roughley out of my head this morning. Obviously the book will be a lot more detailed and better written. But this is my life plan is to leave behind a book along with my oak grove and carry on the message of phantom planting for a thousand years to come.
PS
pic of my oak collection so far. From The Robin Hood Oak to the Brian Boru oak I'm building the collection to open the portal of Arbutai.
I challenge you all to phantom plant a tree!
Peace and love
The Phantom planters
