Big D is coming back!

Big D aka the Dalai Lama made a statement yesterday saying he has decided to reincarnate himself again here on earth. He said back in 1969 that when he turned 90 he would let us know whether he would be needed again here in the world as a spiritual leader. When great beings like this come to the end of their lives they can either enter Nirvana or come back here in the world to help show us the way.

When you read into how his next rebirth will be found it always makes me think of Jesus and the 3 wise men.

The Dalai Lama will leave instructions where he will be reborn and some monks will seek out to find the newborn Dalai Lama.

Pretty powerful stuff and whats pretty powerful also is how did Big D know he was going to live till he was 90 when he made that statement back in 1969.

Many great beings like Big D choose when they die. I've read many many stories about this. Monks that are completely healthy and they just tell their friends, right thats me I'm out of here tomorrow 12pm! Not sure if I'm coming back yet, I might float around in some other realm for a few thousand years but no doubt I'll catch you all again! And off they go into deep states of meditation and leave their bodies.

Apparently there was one well known spiritual leader who was about to enter into Samadhi which means exiting the body and Big D sent him a message saying its not your time yet, you must stay here in this world till your 100 as the world needs your wisdom he says, and the monk put off dying and hung around here till he was 100!

I will be planting planting a tree this Sunday 6th of July to mark the Dalai Lama's birthday at our new Lisnabreeny community orchard. Long live Big D.

One day I hope to plant a tree with Big D. He came here and planted a tree right on the peace line in Belfast back in 2000 and prayed for peace in Northern Ireland. The tree is still there which I drive by often and we've had peace here ever since too.

You know Buddhism has it right when it comes to wars and fighting, they never really take sides, they pray and wish for peace for both. Even with the Chinese, I've heard exiled monks say they have compassion for the Chinese for what they did to the people because if someone feels the need to kill and vent anger and hatred into the world they are disturbed and they need our compassion also. When people are happy and at one with themselves, you dont really feel the need to kill or be angry. Both the killers and the oppressed are going through immense suffering.

I know from personal experience when I run around like Mr Angry in the past seeing all the wrong in the world my head was warped. I needed help back then. I was in a sad state of being. What tends to happen when we are in this state is we keep on filling and programming our minds with all the same like for like thoughts, habits and traits. We are rewiring the brain with negative patterns. Then this stuck up my own back side type attitude becomes the norm. Buddhism has taught me that we must start to programme our minds more positively. Its like rewiring a house, it will take time and effort. And one day you'll strip away all the old wiring and replace with new. This takes time though, right from birth we are rewired with all the wrong patterns. Guess thats the real teacher right there though.

Some ramble there this morning guys. Start the day with right thoughts, words and intentions.

Now off to buy some apple trees to phantom plant. Made a few quid in mattresses this week. Going to buy some trees as an offering back to nature.

Peace and love
