Gratitude for what we have
You know the more I look around these social media platforms the more I just want to carry on planting and chanting and not get caught up with any of it.
Spent some time yesterday blocking and deleting news and media outlets and lots of pages and people that get their knickers in a twist about mainstream news also.
So much noise going on out there these days, the place is swamped with toxic negativity, its way too out of balance if you ask me.
My wee part of the world is ok over here though, plenty of food and water, and I've a new cabin to live in. The only thing ever messed me up in the past was my own doing, my own lack of self control, greed and over indulgence.
In this part of the world we are probably in the heavenly realm and we dont even know it. I'm very grateful for my part of the world. Much of what is being spewed out on here is not a reflection of the society I live in. Dont let the fear of what could happen make nothing happen in your life.
Never has society been so good, never have we had so much abundance.
You know you've really reached the peak of society when we can put so much energy into the things we do , like sport, TV programmes and fashion.
I mean it was only in my dads generation were people didnt have to go and run the streets to burn off the calories from over indulgence the night before.
My dad said no one went running in his day, people had to work hard for their bread.
Dont you think we are all just a bit spoilt and maybe need to practice more gratitude for what we do have.
Now there will probably be the few on here that think how dare I say things like this and that the place is full of poverty. I grew up in a working class estate, many people close to me are on benefits, some of them have more holidays than me. It shocks me the amount of money thats handed out for nothing these days. One friend of mine actually makes a mockery of it how much he gets, just for saying he has some internal mental problems that cant be proven.
He even got a new seaside 3 bedroom house with a full time maintenance man on call. All for free!!!
We need practice more gratitude and we need more giving back for how good we have it these days. As my old mate says, people these days have more rights than an 18th century aristocrat.
Lets all give back by planting a tree. I challenge you.
Gratitude is key to a happier healthier life.
Ps
Pic is of a plum tree phantom planted about 10 years ago. I gave up a packet of cigs that day and bought a tree to phantom plant. A positive antidote.
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter
