The world is run by car salesmen.
Most of the time I have no idea about whats going on in the world. I don't follow football or watch TV, I dont even own a TV. For me we should be paid to have TVs the amount of stuff its selling us.
The majority of the worlds ways has been programmed into us through TVs.
I always say the explosion of coffee shops came from the trends being put out from the likes of the Friends sitcom where everyone hangs out in coffee shops.
And I can bet the secret share holders sitting in the background who control the likes of Friends and other programmes own the coffee shops too!
This world is run by the most cunning Delboy's and Aurthur Daley's.
For anyone that doesn't know who these people are, they are from old programmes about dodgy wheeler dealers.
Maybe I can see more easily how the whole thing operates as thats what I have been most of my life was a dodgy wheeler dealer and growing up with my Delboy day who was a very cunning wheeler dealer all his life too.
The levels of psychology my dad went too to sell his dodgy goods was unreal.
I grew up watching all his tricks deluding everyone to buy his stuff.
Most of the people really did think they were getting the best bargain ever and he made every customer feel so special.
Like only they got the special prices. Every time someone walked away after spending a fortune on dodgy good my dad always said- "Now what ever you do keep them prices to yourself or you'll get me hung".
Away people went thinking only they got the special prices. He said this to everyone!
A story I love to tell about him which he did nearly every day with his psychological tricks.
Say he got in 500 Burberry shirts, he would have had them all piled up in the kitchen, a customer would have came and bought 50 and off they went. If the customer called a couple of hours later saying they sold quite fast for them and they want another 50. My dad would have said, you better get round quick as they're selling like hot cakes.
As the customer was on the way back my dad would have hidden about 200 of them upstairs. The customer came back and seen the pile was only half the size from a couple of hours ago and would have said - Did you sell all that much in that space of time?
My delboy dad would just say, "told you son, they sell like hotcakes, they'll all be gone in the next hour".
The customer couldn't buy the remaining 250 fast enough even though they were only coming back for 50!
All my life I watched my dad do this and it was always me from a kid that had to run around hiding all the stuff in the neighbours sheds.
I always said if my dad had of went legit he would have been like Alan Sugar.
But looking back now and from what I've learned in life, my dad had it better than Alan Sugar.
No income tax no VAT, no money back no guarantee, No rent, no rates, no big stresses and burdens of the business world.
Me - I went down that legit road. I made that much money when younger on the street I invested it into businesses.
I wanted all that the business world entailed. Over the years though playing that silly game of paper and digits I got weighed down that much with balls, chains and conformities, it drove me to drink and drugs.
All looks good though for the ego - the vans, the company cars, shops, loads of workers. Polishes the ego big time!
But me personally I couldn't handle it.
When right in the thick of it all I used to always think back to the time I had a mobile pound shop, going round the doors having a laugh with the customers. No big rent or rates. What you made was going straight into your own pocket.
When younger you want the business dream, but what they dont tell you is the bigger you get the more rules and regulations you gotta follow.
And you end up being an unpaid money collector for the VAT man. He wants 20% of everything and then you gotta pay tax on profit also. Then theres business rates, the tax you pay before you open the doors.
I had a shop once in one of the most run down parts of Belfast. The rates alone was £400 a week and then rent on top. That was a long time ago too, God knows how much it is today!
Thats before you even open the door you gotta pay this. And wait for this one, They didnt even give me a bin. That was £50 a month extra.
Al Capone had more compassion and decency!
Never again will I go down that road. Guess I had to learn all this for myself. My delboy dad had it sorted though better than anyone I know.
Its how I roll now in my little mattress business, I'm a one man show.
Anyhow guys, back to were I was going with this. The world for me is run buy stressed out pressure pot ego driven maniacs and we are the industry. We are the programmed consumers. From birth we are put in a chair and brainwashed on how to conform to all this madness. Step out of line and your given a label and then for every label there is another drug or industry created to help care for the label you have been given. Someone somewhere is having a laugh at us.
Like I used to hear my delboy dad chuckle away to himself every afternoon in the bath, I know he used to laugh at the little cunning tricks he got up too and got away with.
I believe we are all here to attain our own liberation within and all of the exterior is riddled with delusion and trickery. Its all part of the game.
I believe whole heartedly that if you follow the Buddhas teachings of the Eightfold path you will attain this liberation and enlightenment. Its not easy at all to follow this but I know when I do go for a few weeks following it with conviction and devotion I'm vibrating on frequencies not of this world. Then something comes and gets me, the triggers and deceptive ways of the delusions and illusions of the world catch me.
The Buddha's last words was strive with earnestness. Its never going to be an easy one reaching Nirvana. Gandhi said its like emptying the ocean with a teacup.
Hope you enjoy guys, if you do plant a tree. I'm here for the trees and nature.
Peace and love
