All set ready for planting!

 Yesterday myself and a couple of other inner council members cleared this old allotment to make space for the expansion of our heritage Irish orchard.

This is only what was left in the pics, me and my big druid mate have been working away tidying this for weeks now. There must have been about 50 rotted pallets that were planted in the ground up on there ends. Holes were dug out in the field for the pallets to set in and these were all rotted at the bases. What a messy job this was getting them all pulled out and the holes filled back in again. I think the previous peoples ideas was to make some sort of windbreaker or something.

Lots of the pallets did come in handy though as its how we made the structure to create our spiral in the oak grove. We are also going to have a nice bonfire with it all tomorrow night. So all good.


I couldn't wait to get this all tidied up as it was beginning to be a bit of a health and safety nightmare. You see you have to nearly walk through this allotment to get to our heritage orchard and I was always worried that someone could fall down a hole or something going to visit they're memorial trees. Myself and a few others have went on our faces already falling down the holes that were dug for pallets to sit in. And the dogs too, seen lots of them get tripped up also.

I just hope I was able to get all the nails that had came away from the pallets rotting. Wouldn't want it to get caught up in any mowers we will be using and I would want to walk on them myself as in the summer I spent a lot of time barefoot here.


Thats the field all ready now though for the expansion of our orchard, next month when all our apple trees we have been propagating go into dormancy we will be getting these planted up.


We are creating something really unique and special here just outside Belfast at Lisnabreeny ( Fort of the Fairies in Irish).

It will be a beautiful place to walk through the orchard checking out the many rare heritage apple trees, then you can walk on into the spiral of oak trees to a very special yin and yang centre. Theres a lot of thought, time and effort going into this special sacred place.


Just to let yous all know guys we dont get funding or sponsorship for what we do, all our work is done voluntarily. Thousands of pounds have been spent on this so far and thousands more will need to be spent on it. All our funding has come from myself and you guys which is what we really depend on. 

I would rather not be getting into bed with any advertising companies, sponsorship deals or government bodies.

I love that this is a grassroots movement built and supported from the heart of the community for the community. The monopoly board rat racers will never be part of this!

This is all about "The Soil - Soul - and Society"....


Theres more to life than paper and digits - toys and tinsel. 


When you are part of creation like this its definitely a type of buzz you dont get chasing societies so called big dreams.

  A bit about me and how I became the phantom planter. I grew up in a Loyalist housing estate in Belfast, my father a Protestant and my mother was a Catholic from Ardyone, that had big complications here in Northern Ireland but I always knew I was a mongrel, a bit different! Onlyfans definitely gets some attention!

 From I've been saying that I'm on Onlyfans I've a lost a few hundred followers on my main phantom planter Facebook page. And the posts on it have a attracted many negative comments from people who seemed to know alot about life story and phantom planting antics, these are people that have been reading all my previous posts in depth and have never commented once before as I do read nearly all the comments and show my gratitude and if its a negative comment I just give them a hug. But it just shows you how many people are reading your posts with venom, just waiting until you put a foot wrong then give off. Then they announce they're departure commenting "Unfollowed."
