Spiral is complete
Thats every tree dug out and moved back a few metres from the pathway of the spiral. Not one tree has been killed during the making of this spiral.
This field has been all planted up with mixed native trees about 2/3 years ago and we have cleared all the trees within a metre of the spiral pathway, planting them back a few more metres to leave a good spiral corridor through the new tree plantation.
Next on the job is renting out a flail which is sort of like a heavy duty grass cutter to create a good wide spiral path.
We will then start to mark out where all the ancient oaks babies are going to be planted along the spiral.
The spiral is 430 metres long and there will be 37 oaks to go into it. 430 divided by 37 is 11.6 metres. I was wanting to plant the oaks 12 metres apart. 11.6m couldn't be anymore perfect for me. Amazing how its just worked out that the 37 oaks can fit no problem in the field.
I challenge you to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
The phantom planter
