 Turning the hood into a nature loving Buddhahood.

Thats my aim and ambition for my local estate, filling up every green space with fruit trees providing the community with good food security for many years to come.

You know we have well over 700 fruit trees in the estate now that we have been planting for around 8 years and for the past few years every piece of fruit has been picked and used.

Next month is the beginning of bare root tree planting season, if you head around your local garden centres ask if they are stocking bare root fruit trees, they can be pretty cheap and get phantom planting. Stick them in the ground the right way up and watch them grow.

What I like to do with my life and time is use it on things that I can make a change at, you see on here people are letting their minds be warped by BS they can do nothing about.

I love the whole Buddhist concept on life, dont give your attention to what others fail to do, give it to what you are failing to do. you will never have peace of mind exposing the faults of others and while you carry these disturbances in your own mind your really not up for being or doing anything positive, constructive or beneficial for anyone.

In this dark world light shines brighter, be the light!

In Tibet they used to say people that live a good life and earn good merit will be reborn in the heavenly realms in the west. I believe that heavenly realm is here in the west.

Think about it, we live in a society of abundance, food and water everywhere, benefits galore, get stuck up a mountain or at sea, you'll get rescued, Get sick an ambulance will be straight for you. Run out of drink money, head down to the social demanding a crisis loan for more instant money. All the exterior is sitting just perfect for us to attain our own enlightenment and liberation. The only thing holding us back is ourselves. We're all fooling ourselves guys with our own greed, hatred and delusion, myself included!

We are at the peak of civilisation, its either liberate or collapse. Think thats how the cycles of great civilisations have always worked. Spiritual direction is needed now more than ever, other wise we are gong to drive ourselves insane.

I keep reading and hearing from lots of my teachers over the years that karma yoga is whats needed more than ever as spiritual practices. You will earn more merit practising karma yoga than any other practice. Karma yoga is selfless service for the better of all without seeking anything in return. Karma yoga is not about going and looking for God, its about living in a way that God finds you.

Seeing that this earth was one massive forest at one time my Karma yoga practice is phantom planting. Its one of the hardest things to be truly selfless in this world. Right from birth we are educated and programmed to be the opposite. Its probably one of the reasons Mara the tempter makes such a big deal at controlling us beings here in the heavenly realms of the west. We probably dont know it but being born here is a blessing and we are probably only a few lifetimes away from enlightenment. Mara is firing everything he's got at us trying to hold us back from Nirvana.

May I take refuge in the Buddha, the dharma and the sangha until I attain enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.

I know the likes of my China plate (mate) who I grew up with from down in sandyrow probably thinks I've lost the plot. I think many other people would think the same too. 

My delboy dad literally thought the Buddhists was bodoo voodoo stuff or something and thought I was going away in the head because I turned my back on a life of organised crime. Even when we think we are being lucrative with the system in being a gangster, Mara has just got you in another web of delusion. Mara is ingrained in all of society,  legal and illegal, he is in both sides of any war keeping us stuck in the darker vibrations.
