Out phantom planting today!
Heading out on a phantom planting mission here today planting 6 memorial apple trees with some of these people very good friends of mine.
I've been eyeing up a few nice green spaces in the estate that could do with a mini orchard on them. I've specifically picked these 2 varieties as they are the most hardy about and grow like champions. I've yet to see these varieties get diseased or look sick in any way. They are also very heavy croppers bringing the community an abundance of apples every year for the next 100 years to come!
This is how your bareroot trees will come guys when buying them, (see pics) what I do is leave the roots soaking in water for a few hours before planting. These ones I buy are amazing, 2 year old they are and a good size too.
As stipulated in The Phantom Planters Manifesto, our aim and mission is to fill up all green spaces in our local estate with fruit trees. We already have around 700 and there's no stopping us yet!
We dont ask permission, we only seek forgiveness if needs be. Although under Brehon Law which is the ancient true law of this land its illegal to remove a community food tree and carries a penalty of two and half milk cows.
But to be honest everyone has been amazing at supporting our mission. Plant sensibly also, always plant a few metres from a path or road so no fallen fruit will ever cause a problem. Dont plant inline with sewers or any manholes and not under powerlines either.
Always go back and take ownership of your tree too. In many cases the council contractors have started to look after many of the trees for us.
The Phantom Planters aren't out to rub anyone up the wrong way.
Infiltrate, convert and recruit is the way of the Paramili-Trees!
We want everyone to become Phantom Planters!
We have lost our connection to nature guys, its time for us all to step up to the mark and do whats right for future generations. I look around me sometimes and think, is this whats going to be mentoring our future generations!
"Spent way too much on self gratification which nearly ended in my own eradication, time to give back what we've all taken or our future generations will be left forsaken, now that the spirit in me has awakened, planting trees is my souls purification."
That was my first ever attempt at poetry guys, back when I thought apostrophe was a Greek God!
I challenge you to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter
