The portal is underway

Me and my big Druid mate spent the afternoon yesterday tidying up after our fire we had on Halloween night.

Couldnt believe how much everything burned away, I was expecting much more to take away, there was only a few wheelbarrows full of ashes and metal left to dump.

After we racked up all the ashes and nails my mate spent about an hour on his hands and knees picking up all the rest of the nails.

We are going back today with a medal detector to make sure we get everything, as the last thing we want is a nail to get caught in our mower.

Check out one of the drone pics of the fire, you can see if you look closely to beginning of the spiral. The fire is glowing up the spiral pathway. We have the flail mower coming tomorrow to cut the path out bigger. Cant wait to get the drone back up after this to see the near perfect circle left burnt in the grass and the spiral coming out of it. Land art would you call this?

Not one tree by the way got damaged in the making of any of this and not one got burned either. We moved them all back out of the road and replanted the ones that were close to the fire.

Before we lit the fire also we spent sometime smacking the bonfire with large bamboo sticks just to try and get any wildlife out of there that may have been making a home in there. Got a be sure, hate the thought of a hedgehog or something getting burned. Saying that, it took so long to get the fire started with all the rain, at one point we thought it wasnt going to start, so I would say anything that was in there had well ran away with all the commotion long before it really ignited. When the fire did get going though it was a amazing. There's something special about standing around a fire.

So guys thats the portal to the Tuatha De Danann officially underway. All we need to do now is line the spiral with the ancient oaks I've been collecting. At the centre will be an Irish yew tree surrounded by a ring of our native junipers which I'm going to grow myself. Both these varieties at the centre live for thousands of years. The Yin and Yang of the tree world, one kills you and the other heals you. The yew being the killer and the juniper the healer. Love how closely related these two species are as they are some of the only known conifers to produce a berry like seed. The juniper is also referred to as the mountain yew.

The message of making this is simple, to inspire people for a thousand years after I'm gone to phantom plant trees.
