Be the light and shine bright.
Something amazing happened to me yesterday.
Stopped off at Redburn country park to eye up some spots for phantom planting some of my apple trees. As I was pulling into the carpark there was this old man down attending to a tree on the grass verge. I got out and said to him are you a Phantom Planter? He had never heard the phrase before and just laughed. We got chatting and he said he has been planting trees around Redburn from 1960. He was 90 years old!
I told him that I do the same and that I'm the Phantom Planter, who he had never heard off btw but he thought this was amazing and so pleased to meet me. He said we are kindred spirits.
He was one of the most amazing men I have ever met to be honest. This man had an energy from him you don't get often. He said he plants these trees as thank you for the blessed life he has. He said you have to light your candle and shine light into the world. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from this old man.
He told me about all the trees he has phantom planted all over the park and many flowers and plants too.
I was out delivering that way and I was in 2 minds whether to stop here for a walk or not. I'm so glad I did stop as I was meant to meet this inspiring man.
We exchanged numbers as I'm going to give him a ring and let him know when I'm phantom planting my apple trees as he's going to come down and help out. I'm also going to make him some tags for his trees.
I gave him a mask and he was so happy, saying he will have some fun with this.
After I went for my walk in the Holy woods he called me back and said he got out of his car at the house and he still had the mask on his head and the neighbour came out saying have you met The Phantom Planter?
He said his neighbour follows me and showed him lots of my posts from the internet. I could sense this old man has never been online before. He said the neighbour was very interested if he got a pic of my face beneath the mask.
He was very excited on the phone to have met me saying how blessed he was. The feeling is mutual. Was blessed to have met this man too.
Its like my energy has been led to these Holy woods to take over the great work from this old man.
The monks of an old medieval monastery in the town said that the woods surrounding them were Holy hence why the town today is named Holywood. I have always been drawn to these woods. They are Holy and the view of Belfast from the top are some of the best.
Then as I walked on up the hill right on the same tree that I always hang my rings on to train someone left a set hanging, I couldn't believe it, I had to have myself a little hang looking over the views of Belfast.
As I then walked on up to the top of the hill this man was out running with his dog and he stopped dead on his tracks to see wee betty. We got chatting and I asked him did he leave the rings and he said yes. He has left them there for sometime for anyone to use.
I have been having very strange quantum entanglements recently. I'm not sure if this sounds weird or not, but has anyone ever seen a younger version of themselves before?
I seen this young lad the other night in a BMW that I used to have when I was about 20. The exact same old car this young lad was driving. He was all over the road drinking beer while he was driving. I pulled up next to him to say he needs to get off the road mate or the police will have you. It was a 20 year old me I was looking at! Same car, same beer in hand driving around like a maniac. It was the old me!!!
This life is just pure magic when we believe in it...
Anyhow today is the shortest day of the year - The Winter Solstice.
We are going to plant an Irish yew tree at the centre of our oak spiral to mark the occasion. A friend of mine is coming along to read out some stuff in Irish. Who would have thought it me coming from a Loyalist background going to take part in some Irish speech. The only Irish I ever thought I knew in the past was "ChuckyareCHooChoo".....
Anyhow Happy Winter Solstice everyone. Soon the might of the light will be shining a little more bright every day as the days will start to get longer again.
Its a great day to plant a tree to mark this very special occasion. This Christmas I'm buying nothing. Everyone I know will be getting a tree planted for them as a Christmas present at our Lisnabreeny Orchard where then can visit anytime. I'm going to get tags made with my friends names on it saying Merry from The Phantom Planter.
We aren't supposed to be doing all this consuming this time of year. This is a time of nature offerings. We are supposed to be feeding birds and planting trees in this time. We have it back to front.
I challenge you to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter
