More plantimg and chanting
Out planting some of my heritage apple trees yesterday in peoples gardens in my local estates. I actually think this house in the pic I planted in was the house my dad grew up in, I'm not 100% sure but I'm trying to get the hold of my uncle to find out. Would be a nice wee touch if it was.
The guy Ram in the house wanted the apple tree planted right in the middle of his garden, we had to smash out a paving slab and dig out the stones and sand to get down to the earth
We then filled it up with good compost and planted the tree. He said in years to come he will look forward to sitting under the tree.
Rams wife made the best Nepali tea and we chanted Hare Krishna and Om Namah Shivaya... They laughed when I said this apple tree is an offering to Shiva from the Belfast Buddha Hood...
Got loads more more apple trees to plant today in the estate. One woman got in touch who runs an adventure forest school said she would love some apple trees for the kids as she has always wanted to plant up an orchard. Well I said I will come and plant her up an orchard today. Also have that other spot in the estate to do on council green space that the neighbours have agreed to look after and maintain. Will be a great day planting and chanting ahead!
10 heritage apple trees have been planted in peoples back gardens so far over the past 2 days. 390 more to go!
People asking me have I got my Christmas presents sorted yet, have a van full of apple trees for gifts this year. Thats my Christmas sorted.
Any of my friends want an apple tree planted in their gardens give me a shout. Also dont forget guys for Belvoir Estate South Belfast residents only I'm planting apple trees in your gardens for free. Just drop me a message.
I challenge you all to plant a tree!
Peace and love
