Special mission today

 Heading off on a special mission today to get some very rare Juniper cuttings up in the mountains. Bought myself a state of the art propagator with built in LED lighting that mimics the sunrise and sunset when coming on and off. It has 10 different brightness settings. Its a really cool all in one bit of kit.

They say if you provide the right climate for juniper cuttings you can get them to root in 6 weeks. Where as the cuttings I took before it took them about a year to root outside.

I'm growing these cuttings to be planted up in a ring around the Irish yew tree we planted in the centre of our spiral on the winter solstice just passed. 

Junipers are often referred too as the mountain yew. Both these trees live for thousands of years. One kills and one heals. The yin and yang of the tree world.

Its important for me that I know the genetics of all thats getting planted up in the spiral. I want to know for certain that it will live on for a thousand years. 

So much tree production these days has been tampered with for commercial purposes. They say its one of the reasons theres so much tree disease these days as the genetics of the trees have been weakened over years. Many of the trees planted are from commercial producers.

Its so important we all do our bit for nature and get out collecting seeds and cuttings from all our ancient native trees. 

Its a great way to spend the day too being out in nature. Especially where I'm going today. I know where one small batch of our native junipers are and its a camel ride in the mountains to get there A good 4 hour walk there and back. Keeps me fit, keeps the dogs fit, and has a purpose.

The Buddha was a forest monk, him and his disciples lived in the forest going from town to town spreading the teachings.

Shaolin means "Little Forest"...

I believe if the Buddha was alive today his teachings would be very different. He would be encouraging as all to plant trees and playing our part in renewing the forests.

We have no forests left anymore. The whole of the Emerald isle was one big lush forest at one time. So too was all the UK and the rest of the world for that matter. 

Trees are one of the rarest things in the universe. They say there is more gold and diamonds than there is trees in the universe.

I dont care about this egotistical ratrace we are brainwashed to partake in from birth anymore. Nothing it has tickles me like it used too. Its a bad novelty thats worn off. Much of it is mental and spiritual poison.

This Christmas guys I'm not buying one thing for anyone. Instead I'm phantom planting 50 apples trees as an offering to nature and ultimately for our benefit too.

Dont fall for these Delboys and Aurthur Daley's anymore. They would sell their grannies if they had the chance. Minds are poisoned by greed and ego. Just like me one time. 

The Buddha Corporation will come into being soon.
