How to get free trees!
Check out these self rooted apple trees after one year.
These are Lough Key Crab apple trees that are one of the few self rooting Irish apple varieties. Cant believe the root system after one year!
All you do is cut a branch of the tree when dormant and push into the ground, no holes to be dug, just force the branch into the ground and in one year you'll have a self sufficient apple tree.
This method works with so many other tree varieties, willow, dogwood and elder are just some of them.
We are heading out today to get more willow and dogwood cuttings to plant up around the wet spots at our Lisnabreeny Community Orchard.
If you have any damp parts in your garden why not do the same, this will soak up all the water over the coming years and bring some life to your garden.
This is a great way to get free trees guys and now is the perfect time of year to be doing it when everything is dormant.
Come Spring you'll be in for a nice surprise when your trees come to life.
The first time I seen this happen it blew my mind. I never really believed it way back at the start that it would be so simple and easy like this. You always think growing trees is a lot more complicated, like you have to have a degree to be doing these things. But no guys, just stick them in the ground the right way up and watch your babies grow!
Research suggests that humans have been running around this big spinning ball for about 300k years. Its only in the past 10k years max that we have farmed and contained ourselves in towns and cities eating monocultured manmade foods.
Before this for 290k years we were wild, running miles each day and climbing trees and mountains. Its in our DNA to be out in the wild nature. Our bodies are perfectly designed to climb trees. Some say homo sapiens were the elite movers of the world, can outrun most other species and climb better than all other primates. You only need to look at some of these parkour kids about and watch what they can do, its pretty amazing! All of us were like this one day.
It always gets me thinking at times what is going on with society when we put kids in a chair for 6 hours a day and if they cant sit still we give them a label and make them think they are abnormal. We are all like caged lions the way we live today.
We are not some visitor to this place and nature is just there as some museum for us to look at. We are nature, made up all of the elements that surround us, interconnected and interdependent.
I love when I go to the gym and train with kids doing calisthenics and I would say to them that we are just walking talking monkeys escaped from the forest, the look on their faces is priceless. The truth though!
If you've never climbed a tree before barefoot I highly recommend it, Just observe how your body can move and rotate around the branches, how your feet and hands perfectly mould around the tree.
I love to get barefoot in nature, I do it as much as I can, it just feels so right and connecting.
I played the monopoly board better than most, king rat status I was aiming for. When I got all these papers and digits in abundance my body, mind and soul was poisoned. I was not happy.
Most ailments out there today are a result of a toxic society.
I have never been happier planting trees and being in nature. The way of the world for me is parasitic, all our pleasures are built on the destruction of nature. I believe living this way is acquiring negative karma for us all. We need to all stand up and live more symbiotic with the creation on a personal level. And when you do, watch your life change.
Why would the magic of the Dharma want to play with you if your not respecting it.
I will keep on putting out my authentic thoughts into this world as I believe its whats needed.
I challenge you all to phantom plant a tree
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter and Wee Betty
