Well water every day!

One year ago today I started to make drinking well water every day part of my life. I use for drinking and making my teas and coffees. No other water have I been drinking.

I have been using a couple of different wells but this one is by far the tastiest. The Bolin Well its called and is named this because where it springs out of its source it bubbles so it looks its boiling.

This water comes straight out of Slieve Croob mountain, the source of the River Lagan, which is the main river that runs through Belfast.

For me its all about implementing these small healthy changes into your life over a matter of years. I get my water from the source, I get my milk from the source, get my eggs and butter from source and when I can afford it I get my culled venison from its source too.

At the weekend there I made venison and juniper stew. Probably one of the most ancient recipes of this land. It was amazing!

You know students in Scotland have now been encouraged to eat venison as they cull an average of 350,000 a year and its said its not enough to reduce the devastating effects on the ecology and trees.

750,000 they are saying they need to cull every year to keep the damage of trees to a healthy level. With no natural predators its us that has to play wolf and wild cat.

Best meat you'll get too as its wild, no land has been exploited for farming also. You wont need to eat as much either as the meat will be a lot more nutrient dense with the varied diets of the deer.

I also like the idea of how the deer is stalked and shot, sits very well with me ethically, I could accept dying in this same way myself. Just walking about my day in old age and someone takes me out with a shot to the head. Would end a lot of suffering.

Me eating venison has caused much criticism from some people as I practice Buddhism, but thats it, I practice Buddhism and I'm very aware and conscious of my decision to eat venison. I have put so much thought and effort into this decision. Its not something that has been marketed or sold to me. I want whats best for me and nature.

So many have big egoes on their diets, they adapt a certain diet then point the finger at others, Thats your ego talking when you do things like this. Just do you and let others do them.

I'm not sure if you've noticed either, but I'm in Northern Ireland, one of the wettest coldest places in the world and I'm out in it most days planting trees. Monkey nuts and pea protein just doesn't give me the fuel or fats that I need for being out tree planting in such harsh environments. It may well do if your sitting at an office table all day indoors but I'm out in nature most days. I dont have time for grazing for hours everyday either like most other vegetarian species.

We are all different when it comes to diets, although these wheeler dealers that manufacture most of our foods these days will have different ideas. I believe people in colder climates really need animal fats in their diets.

The Ahimsa diet from India is said to be the ultimate karmic free diet, but thats in India and thats practiced by people who are hanging about an ashram all day doing a few stretches and meditating. Lets bring them yogis over here and run around with me for a week and see how long they last. I know me better than anyone.

Horses for courses in this life.

I challenge you to phantom plant a tree

Peace and love
