More trees for the land!

 Planted 37 dogwood cuttings yesterday among the 40 birch trees and 30 apple trees that I planted over the previous couple of days.

This is at the bottom of our Lisnabreeny community orchard where we are going to make this into a wild mixed type woodland. I've another 100 oak trees that I'm getting today to get planted here also.

This is the time of year to be planting trees guys.

You'll find bare root native trees in most nurseries right now. Some of these can be as little as 50p each. Many online places will post them to you also.

This year I intend to get our Lisnabreeny orchard completely finished and next year I will be on the hunt for some new land to make into mixed native woodlands. 

I will be looking for farmland to plant up in and around South Belfast. 

So many say we need this farmland for food. 

Take a look around you guys, we are not short of food here. Rising obesity is our biggest problem. And most of our farmland is used to produce dairy which 90% of all dairy produced here is exported. Basically our land is being ruined for profiteering. I would have done the same though myself back in my wheeling and dealing days when money was my God. These days though my souls merit account is much more important than any bank account! 

One day we will all be exiting this world and me personally I want to make sure my debts with mother nature are cleared. We are nature, made up of all her elements. This body is the diving suit for the soul on loan from mother nature. Be mindful how you treat nature along this journey.

Apparently the worlds agricultural industry produces 4000 calories a day per person on the planet. Food is so over produced and then cunning sales and marketing tactics are used to force feed us a load of stuff we dont need.

People often say there will be massive food shortages coming. This I dont believe for one second. If we all went 30 days with no food the majority of all sicknesses would be cured which is not good for big buiness! Don't hate the rich though, convert them and have compassion. They are caught in their own mental sickness. I was there once. I know how they feel. We just need them to become philanthropists. They have the power to make so much of a difference.

I have been doing so much research recently about how our land needs forests to protect us from so many weather disasters.

32 days of rain we got here in Northern Ireland. Rain that could have been soaked up by the trees and put underground if we still had our Great Atlantic Rainforests.

Now all the 32 days of water that fell is back up in the atmosphere and will keep on coming again and again unless we start planting massive native mixed woodland forests!!

I'm leading by example on this guy's and putting my money and time where my mouth is. I may not change the world but atleast when I die I know I did my bit. I'm dying with a smile on my face.
