33 ancient masters at our spiral
Was working flat out at our oak spiral all day yesterday getting the acorns planted up and building guards around them all.
We now have 33 different types of famous oaks here at our spiral, unreal!
The gales coming across the hills yesterday while planting was epic. It really made my day being out in it just me and nature. Was pretty Shamanic.
All of the most recent batches of acorns sent to me autumn past by The Paramili-Tree SAS Branch ( Special Acorn Service) have all germinated.
Cant believe how many different iconic oaks we have from all corners of the UK and Ireland. We must have the largest collection of ancient oak genetics on these islands all planted up in a spiritual spiral formation at our Lisnabreeny Community Orchard.
I will update my list today with all the names of the famous oaks we have and keep yous posted.
Cant wait to get this all done and dusted and take myself on holiday. Honestly guys I've taken on too much this planting season. A lesson learned though, I over estimated my ambitious plans, but I got it all done though which is the important thing. After I get all the oaks sorted I have 200 heritage Irish apple trees to graft then thats me done for a bit. Time to sit back and watch it all grow. Although there will be plenty of maintenance work to do but no pressure to get things done like planting, grafting and acorn sowing. As this type of work is seasonal and it did put me under a bit of pressure getting it all done in a certain timeframe window.
Must be over a thousand trees I've planted in the past few months. All this work guys has been at the sacrifice of my day job. All my energy has been going into the trees and my wee business has been left neglected and its taken its toll a bit on me financially.

All our projects are for everyone to enjoy.
Ps
Pic is from the family who collected and sent me acorns from the Birnam Oak in Scotland. These acorns germinated well and are now in our spiral guys. Thank you! I've climbed the Birnam Oak BTW. What a beauty she is. Best Scots pies just up the road too!
