Karmic Result!
Me and wee betty were working away yesterday watering and mulching lots of the trees at the Lisnabreeny Community Orchard. The place is all looking amazing. What a valuable asset this will be for the community and nature in the years ahead.
600 apple trees could easily produce a million apples a year when they are all fully matured in about 10 years time. Thats a lot of apples for jams, juices, ciders or what ever else the community want to be doing with them.
The land will be put into a Trust so that in the years ahead when we are all gone it will always be kept for the community and nature.
I need all the help I can get financially guys to get the Trust setup, its not cheap all these things and not cheap either maintaining the orchard and oak spiral.

The other day I seen a man out cutting the grass around a tree at our other main orchard The Phantom Planters HQ aka Belvoir Memorial Orchard. The man had adopted an apple tree and dedicated in memory of a loved one. I have never seen the man before and I dont think he knew who I was either but he has been keeping the apple tree immaculate, with a nice surround around it and rocks painted with his loved ones names on it.
I can remember the day I phantom planted this apple tree that the man adopted. It was one of my first to be planted at this patch of grass that I just stumbled across at around 8 years ago.
Back then I still had a major drink and drug problem and had only just came across Buddhism a couple of years before that. Something that got me thinking about Buddhism was the practice of Karma yoga which is a form of selfless service that you do to help the world without seeking anything back in return. Its prayer in action some monks would say. Its also an antidote practice and said to help purify negative karma. Back then things couldn't have been any worse for me and the whole antidote theory was ringing alarm bells in my mind. It just made sense to me that it was my previous life motivations and intentions that led me to the darker realms in my mind and if I change my mindset and actions in life I can purify my mind and bring myself to a better place.
So going to the garden centres and buying fruit trees to randomly phantom plant around Belfast became my karmic yoga antidote practice.
I didn't care if the trees I planted died, got ripped out or didnt make it for any reason. Back then I had a drink and drug habit that could have cost me a hundred quid a day easily. Buying a tree to phantom plant that cost 40 quid I was not going to loose any sleep over it. I can always just buy more and keep on planting and chanting if ones didnt make it is how I was thinking.
Every tree I planted was the price of a few lines of coke. Over time when I seen my trees thrive and flowers appearing from my little acts of environmental graffiti the buzz I was getting was better than any drink or drug.
All that time ago planting that apple tree the man was looking after I could have easily went 2 ways in my life. Fell deeper into self gratifications and into more darkness or put the antidote into practice and phantom plant trees.
We are self creating beings the Buddha says.
That positive antidote all them years ago has rippled right through 8 years later watching that man look after his loved ones tree. I could have very easily went to the bar back then and felt sorry for myself living like a has been.
Everything for me is vibrations. The vibrations we are emitting ripple around us and can go on for years.
Its been a Karmic Result for me!
I challenge you all to some karma yoga today and phantom plant trees.
Peace and love
The Phantom Planter and Wee Betty
