Feeling inspired
Yesterday I was working away in the estate looking after some phantom planted fruit trees and this young lad comes over to me and asks can he help me. I said yes no probs, so away he went running to get his welly boots. He then got stuck in pulling out all the weeds close to our trees.
At the end of it I said I can give you a fiver now for helping or I can put £10 in one hand and nothing in the other and you can pick a hand and chance your luck. He said yes I want to gamble. I was like are you sure now? You can take this fiver now and off you go or you can gamble for a tenner or nothing. He was adamant he wanted to pick a hand. Lucky for him he picked the right hand and off he went with the tenner!
He was a great help and was well worth a tenner. He had also agreed he's going to look after trees in a certain part of the estate for me.
I love it when young kids from the estate come out of their own backs and want to help. I've had so many kids over the years come out like this.
Its things like this that really makes me want to keep doing what I'm doing. Also with the sad news recently about The Major oak of Sherwood forest dying and I just happen to have loads of oaks planted from acorns of this famous tree its made me realize how precious my work has been. The demand for some of these oaks I have has been unreal. I've had messages from people as far as the USA and Sweden asking for them and could they be shipped.
I only have 2 saplings from the Major oak left. One is kept for Blarney castle where its sure to be respected and live out its life. And the other that I put on Ebay which got removed for some reason has now been sold to a private buyer who I am more than happy to sell it too. She has been a long time supporter of my work and so pleased to sell this tree to her.
Please do support my mission guys
