Look after the trees as they're looking after you

"Your trees are going to die as they need watered during drought and heatwaves"!

A phrase so many used to always say to me.

My answer was - "I water mine". Simple as.

Every week I never missed carrying my drums of water all over the country to water newly phantom planted trees.

I would take a heatwave everyday of the year so I could be out in the sun watering my phantom planted trees, keeping the hood looking like a nature loving Buddhahood.

The first tree I ever phantom planted a guy that worked for the National Trust stopped with the oak leaf uniform on speaking very constipated like he definitely knew what he was talking about when it came to trees.

He said what a waste of time, that tree will die, its not the right time of year to be planting he said.

This was the first tree I ever planted and he was definitely one of Maras little demons as they call in Buddhism sent right at that time to try and put me off doing something that would one day become worldwide creating millions of trees to be planted.

I've always noticed that with all the great things I've ever did that right at the start something crazy happens to try and put you off. Like a dark energy just pokes its head in trying to make a fool of you.

The thing with me though is when this happens it makes me want to do it more.

I remember looking that constipated National Trust guy up and down that day thinking to myself your full of S**t, your a geek, I'm not listening you. My intuition was telling me not to believe him. And so I carried on and 11 years later I can climb this apple tree he said would die. Every year also it gives out hundreds of apples.

I may not speak Latin or strangulate my vowels as some of these posh tree dudes speak like. My knowledge on nature is by doing and observing.

I was giving a story to a journalist yesterday and I was saying to her that if I hadn't of just wild phantom planted my first tree just by the side of the road in Belfast no way would I have learned so much. The fact it was my little act of environmental graffiti made me stop every time I passed it just to admire what I thought would have been ripped down by the council or vandals. If this tree was planted somewhere safe like a garden it would not have had the same mental stimulation on me as being phantom planted.

Every time I drove by and it was still there it elevated my soul like never before. I stopped every time to get out and admire this tree taking in every insect, flower, birds and bees that was interacting with my tree. I used to talk to the tree too and still do giving it a pat on the trunk saying alright mate.

Phantom planting fruit trees around your streets and estates has to be the best positive actions we can all do. Live selflessly within your senses. Never mind whats going on on the other end of the world and never mind what others are doing either as its what your doing thats important.

In Buddhist cosmology there are heaven and hell realms just waiting for you depending on how your living and interacting with the Universe right now. We are self creating beings and we are making our world around us right now with how we think, speak and act. Dont let the fear of what could happen make nothing happen.

My advice on planting trees is just make sure its the right way up. If it dies plant another. Just keep on planting and learn as you go.

So many say you could be tampering with delicate ecosystems just planting trees anywhere. Spare the BS guys. Our ecology and environment has never been so worse. Getting people connected to nature is so important right now. We have become a soulless society. We need to get out and reconnect with nature. Once rewired back to our source the nature spirits will guide you from there.

Just get out there and get planting.

I challenge you all to phantom plant a tree

Peace and love

The Phantom Planter and Wee betty
